INSPRAIRE

As I sit in the train from the big city
I remember a mentor who is so dear to me
A person who see from his compassionate lens
A person who delights in a meaningful purpose and  life's sense

He saw me and my dreams
He saw a talent hidden that no one has seen
He opened the door and fought with me
A journey to a better self this was my destiny

As I walked my days with him
He helped me be confident and look within
Sometimes we view things as shallow
We just look at the surface we don't look outside the window

I learned to appreciate simple things
Sunrise, sunset, and a bird spreading its wings
He motivated me to encourage people
To fulfill a full life even with struggles

I had a share of the spotlight
But what people didn't know who was there all through out
Guiding me and teaching me
To fulfill my calling and who I was meant to be

To inspire means to breath life into another
This is what you did, what can I offer?
To continue a legacy of serving wholeheartedly
To see the beauty in every story

For the legacy of wisdom and insights
As I bid good bye, I say thank you
For touching my heart and my life
I will carry the things you taught and just be a light

(I will miss you and you will always be in my heart sir PATRICK GAYAPA, may your soul rest in peace. I love you a lot!)
