Who We Are

Po, Simba, and Wall-E
Were set up for different journeys
Teachers and friends came their way
Walked with them during sunny and rainy days

In their walk they went out and wander
Carrying a will to ponder
What role should they play?
Questioning, who are they?

Po was first a greedy panda
No discipline at all when he is in a food wonderland
He aims to eat all the food he could see
Jade Palace seemed to be the wrong place for him to be

Fooled into thinking he was responsible for his father's death
He flee from his home being ashamed and with despair
Simba the son of Mufasa the great king
In the African savanna went on a soul searching

Left on a waste covered earth
Product of mass consumerism and environmental problems
Mr. Trash Compactor trying to serve his duty
Left alone cleaning up a world that is dirty

These three movies reflects reality
Different settings with an on going query
The search for who we are
Roles to play and the goal to reach far

In this life we all have weaknesses
No discipline, guilt and left in isolation
Circumstances pulls us down at times
Sometimes nothing even seem to rhyme

Weaknesses and failures causes pain
We lose ourselves and forget who we really are
That is why we need to look out the window again
This will give us room to breath and courage to win the war

Like Po, Simba, and Wall-E
We all need a spark of hope
On their lonely roads they were freed
By holding on to a strong rope

God, teacher, family and friend
A rope you can hold on till the end
In your search of your faithful companion
Your heart will be filled with love and compassion

In their presence you are  constantly reminded
What a great son, daughter, friend, and person you are
You are fearfully and wonderfully knitted
With a great purpose planted in your heart you will go far
