Away from her nest

Far from your nest
The little bird flies into rest
As the beautiful and colorful flowers bloom
I give gratitude to the one who carried me in her womb

Sitting in the still
Recollecting your love's fill
The beauty of your warmth
Gives life amazing worth

If I would define unconditional love
I would take out a photo of you that I have
It would make it easy to see
Many years of caring and loving me

When I fly with my own wings
I hope to still hold on your strings
The trainings and values you gave
I hope to carry in the strongest wind of change

You are my teacher of good tidings
Always make me realize of essential things
You taught me simplicity and humility
As well as the great value of generosity

You give and you give
But you never run out
Most of the time I have lived
I asked myself, how much love do  you have in your heart?

I know I can never measure the love of a mother
Wherever you are in life in any season or weather
She is steadily in the nest she built for her family
Waiting for the little birds to land again under the wings of her motherly love and beauty
