In My Dad's Slippers

Sun shines down here in Vegas

This summer I remember someone in a flash

A picture of the big-sized slippers

And those tiny feet as wearers

Running around the complex
Having fun going to one house to the next
Wearing his slippers makes me happy
I'm glad it never made him grumpy

This very time I'm out of nowhere
I want to trade slippers when I'm  back there
Then go get some twin Popsicles
Eat at taco bell just under go the old cycles

In my own slippers
I walk through life as it flowers
All the deposit of love he gave to me
Overwhelmed by the great life he provided me

I thank you this beautiful day
For being there for me in every way
I have grown now, my feet are not tiny anymore
But still I want to learn in your slippers all the more :)
